P r a g u e / S w a n s e a – International Baptist Theological Seminary (IBTS) in Prague will become part of the world’s largest online-campus. IBTS Rector Keith Jones reported on these plans of IBTS’ partner, the Swansea located University of Wales. The programme is to bring together more than 80.000 students from 120 institutions of higher learning in 30 countries. Students studying for a University of Wales qualification at IBTS, lecturers and partner institutions worldwide will be able to log onto the university’s homepage at www.wales.ac.uk. Students, lecturers and staff will be able to meet online, start discussion groups, form common interest groups and study collaboratively. The sharing of documents, scheduling meetings and holding video conferences will also be possible. Internet access will continue after graduation, allowing alumni to retain global contacts for a lifetime.
