We are thrilled to share with you the latest news about the ministry of the Association of Baptist Churches in Israel (ABC). God has blessed us as we have been able to serve and encourage hundreds of people.

Our three ministry coordinators have had a busy 2018 as you can see below.

Eman Dahoud is our new children ministry coordinator. Her first project was to organize a program for Sunday school children from the network of ABC churches. We estimated that 80 kids would attend during the Holy Week. We were surprised by the number of churches that wanted to participate so we had to move to a larger venue. 241 kids attended the daylong program under the title “The Joy of the Resurrection.” The kids sang together and learned together. They had a great time playing under the supervision of 50 volunteers, including a 7-member team of volunteers from the USA.

Luna Matar is our youth coordinator. She conducts bimonthly regional meetings to encourage youth from different churches, especially youth in churches that do not have youth meetings. Last month, Luna led a retreat with 180 young people coming to study and grow together. These meetings are a great encouragement to Christian youth in a context of a very small Christian community.

Daad Odeh is the coordinator of our family ministry, focusing on holding 6-week seminars for women in different churches. 2018 had a great start with three seminars held in three churches, including one from outside our network.
ABC is grateful to God for these ministries and the support it receives from the local churches that are eager to take part in such programs through participating, volunteering and giving. ABC maintains its focus on the mission of supporting the ministry of the local churches.

We are also thankful for individuals and churches that have a heart for ministry in Israel by supporting our programs and coordinators financially.
